Cabinet Knobs

A pull, a full grip, a thousand uses: the knob is the most universal handle.

The character

The knob is the oldest and most universal format among cabinet handles. One fixing point, a compact geometry, a grip that asks nothing of you. You take hold of it however you like, from above, from below, with a pinch: the hand finds it without looking.

A full-hand grip, with no imposed direction

Unlike a pull, which dictates a direction of pull (always along its length), a knob accepts every angle. That’s invaluable on kitchen drawers, when your hands are full, and on children’s furniture, where the angle of approach is unpredictable. It’s also what makes it so comfortable day to day: no learning curve, no gesture to master.

One fixing point, a free design

Without a second fixing point, the geometry is set free. A knob can be perfectly round, perfectly square, polygonal, figurative (an animal’s head, a mask). Where a pull has to be elongated to make sense, a knob welcomes every proportion. This is the format where our most sculptural patterns come into their own, the Roaring Lion, the Sleeping Lion, because there’s the visual room for them to exist.

Dimensions built for presence

From the slender knob (XS, 20mm) to the bold statement knob (XL, 60mm), the same typology accepts every scale. Small, they become quiet punctuation; large, they become a focal point, even a piece of jewelry. It’s this range of scale that makes them so useful in compositions built on contrast: an Essential everywhere, one strong pattern on the centerpiece.

Features

What defines this category

Four defining touchstones: fixing, gesture, geometry, visual presence.

One fixing point, one hole

The knob mounts with a single screw. No center-to-center to match, no adjusting needed if you’re replacing an existing handle. The easiest to install, and the only format that forgives an imprecise hole.

Universal grip

No pull direction is imposed. The hand can grab from above, from below, or in a pinch, which is useful on drawers where hands are often full, on children’s furniture, and more generally on any piece opened and closed quickly.

Free geometry

Round, square, polygonal, cylindrical, figurative, every compact (non-elongated) shape is possible. This is the format where our most sculptural patterns come into their own, since the front face offers the depth needed for relief.

Multiple scales

From XS (20mm, a discreet accent on small drawers) to XL (60mm, a focal point that defines a dresser), the same typology runs through every size without losing its character. This makes it possible to compose a piece with several knobs of different sizes according to the importance of each part.

By material

Choose by material

Bronze, copper, brass, aluminum, lacquer, bioresin…
The material shapes the surface texture, the possible patina, and the overall character.

Matte Bronze finish - Holdon Paris

Material

Bronze, a copper alloy with timeless charm, brings a noble, warm, and patinated touch to any interior. Our bronze handles turn a simple front into a signature detail.

Satin Copper finish - Holdon Paris

Material

Copper brings an instantly unique visual warmth: a glowing, living metal with orange highlights and a patina that grows more beautiful with time. Our copper cabinet handles and knobs give character to a kitchen, dresser, or closet.

Satin Brass finish - Holdon Paris

Material

Brass is the perfect ally if you’re after a finish that’s warm, luminous, and unmistakably elegant. With its golden glow (somewhere between discreet gold and honey), it brings an instant premium touch to your furniture.

Satin Aluminum finish - Holdon Paris

Material

Aluminum (or alu) is loved for its modern, bright, minimalist look. Our aluminum cabinet handles and aluminum knobs bring a clean, contemporary finish to a kitchen, closet, or dresser.

Candy Red finish - Holdon Paris

Material

Sourced from renewable plant based resources, bioresin delivers a pearly, satin finish with a subtle iridescent shift in the light. Light and delicate, it suits living rooms, bedrooms, and closets. Not recommended for kitchen handles or humid environments.

You have a choice

Knob or bar pull?

The knob and the bar pull answer two different gestures, the hand that grabs, the arm that pulls. Neither format is better or worse, just suited to the piece that carries it.

You are here

Cabinet Knobs

One fixing point, a full-hand grip. The knob welcomes every shape, round, square, polygon, figurative, and can be grabbed from any angle. Ideal on drawers and small furniture.

Pulls with center-to-center spacing

Two spaced fixing points, a horizontal pulling gesture. The bar pull structures large doors and professional kitchen drawers, where a knob alone would be undersized.

Three entry points into the catalog

You can also browse by exact silhouette, decorative pattern, or finish.

By silhouette

If you already have a specific idea in mind, Carré Palazzo, Rond Classica, go straight to the silhouette.

By pattern

From the most understated (Essential) to the most elaborate (Roaring Lion), the pattern transforms the handle without changing its geometry.

By finish

Each finish brings its material, color and patina. That is what elevates the pattern’s relief.

Materials and finishes by category

Are All Materials and Finishes Available in This Category?

Yes. Bronze, copper, brass, aluminum, lacquer, and bioresin all come as knobs as well as pulls. The difference between a knob and a pull is about mounting, one point or two, not about material. You first choose the category that fits your piece of furniture, then the material and finish independently, from those available on the silhouette you've chosen.
