How is our catalog built?
At Holdon, every handle is designed as a piece of jewelry for furniture, born in our Paris atelier from a dialogue between three voices.
The material

A true shape, chosen the way one chooses a goldsmith’s line, taking form in a precise silhouette.
Handles, handcrafted with the help of cutting-edge technology
At Holdon Paris, we’ve developed a process that combines digital tools with atelier craftsmanship. It lets us make bronze and copper pieces with finer detail than traditional foundry techniques allow, then finish them one by one, by hand.
Everything starts with an intention. We sketch, we model, we refine each shape until we get exactly what we had in mind.
From idea to object: from 3D model to mold
Each shape is modeled, then 3D printed to create the original master model. This digital step allows for complex geometries and sculptural shapes that are very difficult to achieve with traditional foundry casting.
For metal pieces, this model is used to make a mold, into which we cold-cast the material, to order. This approach frees us from industrial constraints and lets us offer you a very wide range and a broad choice of customization options.
A finish applied by hand, piece by piece.
Technology isn’t everything: every metal piece passes through our hands for the decisive steps: demolding, sanding, patina. That’s where bronze comes to life, where copper reveals its nuances.
On patinas, this hand finishing makes each piece unique. No two handles of the same model are ever quite identical, and that’s precisely what we love about them and what gives them their value.
What inspires our handles
Each Holdon Paris collection is born from an encounter: a shape, a texture, an architectural detail. We draw our inspiration from what surrounds us to create handles that tell a story.
Our collections
Classica Europa, our first collection, distills five centuries of European ornament: acanthus scrollwork, lions, rosettes, shells, and torsos inspired by the Italian Renaissance. Other worlds are taking shape at the atelier, each with its own identity, all with the same attention to detail and the same exacting standards of craftsmanship.
Paris, our open-air atelier
We don’t make bronze handles in Paris by chance. The city inspires us every day: the ironwork on Haussmann-era buildings, the patinated handles of old carriage doors, the forgotten details of street furniture.
This heritage is an inexhaustible source. We reinterpret it with a contemporary eye to create pieces that feel as though they’d always existed, while remaining resolutely of today.
